I have a laptop with bitcoin wallets and bitcoin exchange websites in it. I have a log in password for the laptop already. I want to secure my laptop like 2FA with YubiKey. If I lost my laptop, is there anyway that I can delete the data in the hard drive of my laptop remotely like Iphone or Google phone? Has anyone use YubiKey for your laptop? Please share your experiences. Thank you.
I have a wireless AC wifi adapter brand new that I'm willing to either sell for ~$25 or trade in addition to PayPal or Bitcoin for a mechanical keyboard. Will pay extra for RGB. Doesn't have to be cherry switches. Note: i only have $45 in PayPal and $53 in Bitcoin, so I may have to supplement one for the other. I will edit this if someone buys the adapter but am yet to order a keyboard. Time stamps EDIT: there was an error, I only need one keyboard and already am planning on buying one from a user. The wireless AC adapter is still available though!
I am convinced the only way to have a secure cold storage solution for BTC is to print a paper wallet from a laptop that's not connected and will never be connected to the Internet. However, if I buy a used laptop from a reseller for this purpose, what steps do I need to take to ensure there's not something already on the laptop that could be a problem? I don't intend on ever connecting this cold storage laptop to the Internet once I receive it and print my paper wallets, but I'm that paranoid about something that's already there. Thanks in advance!
Did James Howells ever find 'The Bitcoin Laptop'???
He had 7500 bitcoins on his laptop harddrive, years later, not realising the value, he threw it away. Shortly after he finds out they were worth millions now. so he searched a garbage dump to find it.... but did he ever find it?
Brother killed, laptop in evidence - is all his bitcoin lost?
In a bit of a pickle, and wondering if anyone more expert in cryptos could share some advice? My brother was murdered, and his mac laptop has been seized by the cops. Not sure when/if we'll get his laptop back but we have his Apple ID login so we can access a lot of his computer stuff and texts...etc. He was a big investor in blockchain, soemtimes with a friend, and we see him talking about owning some. But none of the texts show his magic wallet ID, and not sure we're ever going to be allowed access to his laptop again... Any tips for where we should look? Certain applications or folders or popular services to check? Maybe a file extension, or even a flash drive? Just not sure i'll know how to recognize it when i find it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. This has been a trying time, and we do not want his investment to go to waste! Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to shed some light or other tips.

“The ridiculous notion of 'must have 100% decentralization. Must be able to run 1MB blocks on Raspberry Pi nodes, on laptops built in 1990, so that we can have 100% decentralization — Oh, but we can only do 4 transactions per second' and yes, I’m talking about Bitcoin.”
Hello fellow Bitcoiners, I recently found this device while cleaning out my old room but cannot get my laptop or any PC to recognize it. Any ideas on how to fix this issue? It kills me to think that there may be something stored on it.
